We have used Jack now for remortgaging and purchasing a new home. He has always been completely transparent with us, very quick to respond and we completely trust him and his advice throughout the whole process. I couldn’t recommend him and Strive enough.

I can’t thank Jamie and the team enough for all their help with my mortgage. I sent my enquiry in one evening and was really surprised to get a call from Jamie the very next morning. From the start, they were so friendly and helpful and kept me updated throughout the whole process. They were always happy to answer any questions and made everything feel so much easier and less stressful. I’ve been really happy with the service and would definitely recommend Jamie and the team to anyone looking for a mortgage broker.

We couldn’t recommend Jamie, Sharon, Hayley and the team at Strive Mortgages enough! As first-time buyers and both self-employed, we knew our mortgage application might not be completely straightforward, but Jamie made the whole process feel so much easier. He was incredibly helpful, responsive and reassuring throughout, always happy to answer our questions and explain everything clearly. Hayley and Sharon have also been brilliant, especially when we needed help getting an issue with our mortgage offer corrected. Hayley, Sharon and Jamie all kept us updated and helped get everything sorted quickly. We’re so grateful for all of their help in getting us to this point. It’s been a bit of a rollercoaster at times, but having Jamie guiding us through it has made such a difference. We’d absolutely recommend Strive Mortgages, especially to first-time buyers or anyone with a self-employed application. Naomi & Ben

I recently remortgaged with the help of Kiran at Strive Mortgages and couldn’t be happier with the experience. From the very first conversation she was professional, clear and genuinely helpful. She took the time to understand my situation and worked hard to secure a really solid deal for me. The whole process felt smooth and stress-free. Kiran kept me updated at every stage and handled all the details efficiently. It’s rare to find a mortgage broker who combines expert knowledge with such a friendly, client-focused approach.

I couldn't be happier with the service I received from Kiran. From our very first conversation as a first time buyer, she took the time to understand my situation as a contractor and walked me through every step of the mortgage process clearly and patiently. She was responsive, proactive, and always made me feel like I was in good hands, even when things got complicated. A special mention to her boss, Jamie, who provided great support behind the scenes and made sure everything ran smoothly. . I highly recommend Kiran and the team at Strive Mortgages; they are good people and helped minimise the stress! I will be referring them to my friends! Thank you

We used Jamie to arrange our mortgage, and as first-time buyers, he really put us at ease throughout the whole process. Being self-employed made our application particularly complex, but Jamie made light work of it and made the process feel far easier than our experience with other brokers. We couldn’t recommend Jamie highly enough and would definitely use him again.

Jamie and Jack couldn’t have done any better - I’ve used several mortgage advisors over the years but these guys were super responsive, found possibilities I didn’t even know existed and made sure overall I had exactly the right mortgage for me.

Jamie Elvin

Mortgage Adviser / Founder

Founder & Mortgage Adviser

Jamie has been in the mortgage industry for around 14 years and is the founder of Strive, still heavily involved as an adviser alongside running the business.

He works across the whole of the mortgage market — first-time buyers, home movers, remortgages and buy to let — with particular depth in self-employed and company director cases. After this long there aren’t many scenarios that come as a surprise, though the enthusiasm hasn’t gone anywhere since his first day in the industry.

He started Strive wanting to build something better than the usual mortgage experience. Clients seem to agree — we’re now past 300 five-star reviews on Trustpilot and Google, which Jamie rates above anything else Strive has done.

Property is a genuine interest beyond the day job. Jamie follows the market closely and usually has a project of his own on the go. Away from the desk you will rarely see him off the padel court or the tennis court. The rest of his time goes on his family, and most of what is left goes on watching football and boxing.

Jamie in the press

Jamie is a regular columnist for the Express and the Mirror, and a regular commentator for The Times, Sky News and the wider financial press. He has also appeared on television several times discussing the market. See Strive in the press.
